Roy Dockery is the Host of The Art of Leading Podcast, music artist, author, international public speaker, and working intellectual. As a working intellectual Roy benefits from being involved in the daily lives of diverse groups of people as a business executive, mentor, and community servant. That direct experience allows him to contextualize the theories, research and hypothesis he encounters, he often sees the gaps between academic assumptions and the real human experience.
As a mentor Roy has helped a myriad of individuals from business executives to hip hop artist use their gifts to make a greater impact on society. Forcing us all to look beyond the superficial reality and to dig for a deeper "Savage Truth," Roy has encouraged creativity and constructive organizational change. Many of the questions and topics that come from his mentees construct the content that is known and the Savage Truth Podcast and The Savage Truth Network videos on YouTube. As a community activist Roy works with with restorative justice programs for juveniles and leads the Victory Justice Center providing support for civil legal issues.
Roy Dockery now functions as a working intellectual, Leadership Coach and Senior Operations Executive with the support of his amazing family. Married to the CEO of the Dockery Homestead, Roy reunited with his high school sweetheart Keena after almost a 5 year break and they have been happily married for 16 years. The Dockery’s have three beautiful children Alena, Alyssa, and Royce ages 14, 12, and 6 respectively and they currently reside in the Greensboro, NC area. Amazed at the journey on which God has taken them thus far and anticipating the next chapters of God’s story for their lives.
